Set to the classic Sesame Street song, "Little Things," this film is a dreamy celebration of all things wonderful, bizarre, and little.
Crafted as a heartfelt gift for a friend's daughter, Samuel Jerome Mason’s Little Things transcends conventional narrative, mirroring the perplexing yet enchanting voyage of a toddler navigating life's big enigmatic wonders, from empty rooms to strange sculptures and the underbellies of tables and chairs.
From the surreal perspective of a child, hours are spent transfixed by the undersides of furniture, losing track of reality to the mystique of a world so large. This short film captures the essence of those memories, evoking the fleeting moments of childhood daydreams amidst a landscape filled with nameless wonders. Sam artfully employs a blend of CG, photogrammetry, and real objects sourced from local vintage shops, accompanied by the sweet notes of Joe Rapaso's classic Sesame Street song, "Little Things." The result is a dreamy celebration of all things playful, wonderful, bizarre, and little.
