We are a multidisciplinary production studio with over two decades of experience producing award winning Motion Design, 2D, CG, Stop Motion, Mixed Media, and Artful Live Action. Our work is shaped by a thoughtfully curated roster of directors whose authorship styles are as eclectic and unique as they are effective at connecting with an audience. In addition to our roster, we have nurtured a core team of creative directors who work to keep Hornet Studio ahead of the curve. Hornet is seeking a freelance Experiential Producer for support on upcoming projects. As an Experiential Producer, you will play a pivotal role in the conception, planning, and execution of live activations, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our audience. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management skills, and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute innovative ideas for live activations that align with client objectives and brand identities.
- Collaborate closely with the Hornet production team, creative teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to bring concepts to life, ensuring all aspects of the activation are cohesive and on-brand.
- Manage the end-to-end experiential production process, from initial ideation to execution and post-event evaluation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee all logistical aspects of live activations, including venue selection, permits, equipment rentals, staffing, and transportation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress throughout the production process, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to create engaging content, interactive experiences, and immersive environments that captivate and resonate with the target audience.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential challenges or issues that may arise during live activations.
- Manage on-site execution, including setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment and assets, and oversee all aspects of the event to ensure a smooth and successful experience for attendees.
- Serve as the main point of contact for partners throughout the production process, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing any concerns or feedback.
- Evaluate the success of live activations through post-event analysis, gather feedback from stakeholders, and identify opportunities for improvement or innovation for future projects.
- Maintain an open line of communication between the Hornet production and creative teams while managing expectations within the budget and scope of work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in experiential marketing, event production, or related fields, with a proven track record of successfully executing live activations.
- Exemplary leadership skills which foster and promote Hornet values as guiding principles.
- Highly self-motivated, with a commitment and dedication to Hornet’s standard of producing industry-leading work.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
- Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in experiential marketing and event production.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for on-site activations and events.
- Ability to motivate, manage and collaborate with teams of varying scales and acknowledge team accomplishments / goals.
- Ability to navigate, prioritize, then resolve conflicts and work effectively under pressure.
- Experience with CETA, FTrack and Airtable a plus.
- Knowledgeable in all animation and post production pipelines

General Internship Information:
- Hornet offers Summer and Winter Internships.
- Our Internship Program is a full time, 40 hour a week position.
- Our studio hours are 10am - 7pm EST.
- Hornet operates on a Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office at our NYC Studio / 2 days remote).
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the US and local to the NY Metro area.
